Chrissy is an activist, survivor, academic, and proud single mum. Chrissy uses her lived experience of domestic abuse and grooming to raise awareness of issues relating to abuse of position of trust for young people in 16-19 education. Chrissy believes the law currently fails young people from abuse of power by those entrusted with their care. She uses research and activism to raise awareness and campaign for issues faced by survivors of abuse.
Sharing her own story with Chris & Beverley they open up the conversation about grooming and what happened to Chrissy herself when her teacher groomed her from the age of 11 and later started a relationship whilst she was still at school at 18 years old….. however, it is still considered legal!

Mark O’Sullivan is a writer, actor, comedian, broadcaster and campaigner, best known for his C4 sitcom ‘Lee and Dean’ which he wrote and starred in. He created ITV drama Tell Me Everything which premiered its second season this year. His Channel 4 documentary ‘My Sexual Abuse: The Sitcom’ broadcast in May this year to rave reviews. He joins Chris and Beverley to talk about his documentary and his thoughts behind it.
Since the release of the documentary, Mark has started giving talks on sexual abuse, trauma, and healing through creativity. He has recently launched ‘Making Lemonade’, a project designed to share the transformative power of creating something positive out of the difficult, adverse or traumatic things we experience.

Both Chris and Beverley use their own Lived Experience and also professional insights into the impact in everyday life and possible recovery.
Chris is a qualified Trauma Informed Health & Fitness Practitioner and today she supports others in their own healing through a holistic psycho-educational programme called the Breaking the Cycle™ C.L.E.A.N.E.R.™ Living Therapy programme which encompasses mindset, nutrition, fitness & stress management. As an avid Speaker and Campaiger she is the founder of Survivors of Abuse working.
Beverley is an award winning Trauma Specialist Recovery practitioner whose clients are often diagnosed with chronic fatigue, M.E. fibromyalgia and Chronic pain such as migraine. Working with her clients to understand the physical, mental and emotional connection enabling clients to use wellness tools in recovery and leading their own authentic life, with the additional support of online recovery programmes within a referral programme.
