Mike Salter is a profesor in Criminology at the University of New South Wales Australia and we welcome back Dr Elle Hanson, our resident Psychiatrist. Together they bring a wealth of knowledge and experience. Mike's profile and expertise include being part of the scientific advisory committee and Board of Directors on the International Society for the Study of Trauma and Disassociation also the Current President of the Grace Tame Foundation. Amongst many other expertise, he is an Expert advisor for Child Protection to the Australian and Canadian Governments in addition to many other non-government agencies. Gloria Masters was child sex trafficked for the first 16 years of her life. Leased by her father, trained by her grandmother, she had no one willing or able to help her.
Now an esteemed Author, Speaker and Founder: she is the woman behind the Global hand signal for under 16’s, released in 2023, to help resource children and combat abuse and trafficking. Chris & Beverley have an open conversation with Gloria about her work and how she balances her own self care too.
She is the founder of Handing the Shame Back foundation, a charity dedicated to adult survivors of child sexual abuse. She is the host of the YouTube and podcast channel of the same name, now in over 80 countires; presenting interviews and resources designed exclusively for survivors.
She has written 3 books: ‘On Angels Wings’ detailing her childhood, Flightpath to Healing; an experiential guide for adult survivors, and her third book Keeping kids Safe; a roadmap for parents & teachers on how to protect children from grooming and sexual abuse.

Joining Chris and Beverley as this week's guest is Dr Noelle Blackman in a raw, uncut conversation about her work and passion, whilst reflecting on her own journey as she has created change.
Noelle is the former CEO of www.Respond.org.uk and founder member of the Institute of Psychotherapy and Disability (IPD) During her two decades at Respond she gained extensive experience in further developing the practice of psychotherapy with people with intellectual disabilities and in supporting trauma-informed practice and relational approaches in organisations. She is a regular speaker and contributor to national and international symposia and conferences. Her PhD focused on ‘The Use of Psychotherapy in Supporting People with Intellectual Disabilities who Have Experienced Bereavement’. Her publications include – The book -Loss and Learning Disability, and recent peer reviwed papers include - Brief report on six clinical cases of trauma in families that have children and adults who have a learning disability and/or are autistic. (Tizard Learning Disability Review) and A survey of complex trauma in families who have children and adults who have a learning disability and/or autism. (Advances in Mental Health and Intellectual Disabilities). Her priorities are to work with, organisations, individuals and local regions who wish to be part of the change towards making a more compassionate society.

Chris is a qualified Trauma Informed Health & Fitness Practitioner and today she supports others in their own healing through a holistic psycho-educational programme called the Breaking the Cycle™ C.L.E.A.N.E.R.™ Living Therapy programme which encompasses mindset, nutrition, fitness & stress management. As an avid Speaker and Campaiger she is the founder of Survivors of Abuse working.
Beverley is an award winning Trauma Specialist Recovery practitioner whose clients are often diagnosed with chronic fatigue, M.E. fibromyalgia and Chronic pain such as migraine. Working with her clients to understand the physical, mental and emotional connection enabling clients to use wellness tools in recovery and leading their own authentic life, with the additional support of online recovery programmes within a referral programme.
